Established in 2019, Ortusol International is a Netherlands-based company operating in Malawi under a long-term, sustainable production model. The company has secured a 50-year lease on strategic land within Malawi, ensuring operational stability and access to an optimal agricultural environment for medical cannabis and hemp production.

Ortusol's phased development approach ensures structured growth and financial responsibility. The Foundation Phase focused on land acquisition, initial operations setup, and soil rehabilitation using velvet beans and legumes to enhance fertility for future cannabis production. Chillies were cultivated as a foundation crop to train staff, refine processes, and establish an efficient operational framework before scaling into cannabis and hemp.

Now entering the Pilot Phase, Ortusol is commencing its first cannabis plantings, leveraging its extensive benchmarking research and expert consultation to guide cultivation strategies. With an expansion plan tied directly to financial milestones, Ortusol will scale cannabis cultivation over the next two years, reaching up to 9 hectares as funding allows.

**Sustainable and efficient production**

Ortusol implements a medical cannabis and hemp production model designed to balance environmental responsibility with commercial viability:

* 96% lower carbon footprint compared to indoor cultivation, drastically reducing energy consumption.
* 3x higher efficiency than traditional production methods, leading to lower operating costs and increased profit margins.
* Regenerative agricultural practices, including diverse cover cropping and natural soil enhancement, fostering long-term sustainability.

Ortusol's scalability advantage lies in its outdoor cultivation model, unrestricted by the spatial and energy constraints of indoor facilities. If additional yield is required, more acreage can be cultivated, ensuring flexibility and efficiency in production.

**Inclusion of small farmers and local economic development**

Ortusol’s model is not just about profitability—it is designed to create measurable social impact. By integrating small-scale farmers into its supply chain, Ortusol ensures:

* Employment and skill development through training programs.
* Technology access and operational support to smallholder farmers.
* Stronger local economies through direct market integration.

**Access to global markets with secured sales contracts**

Unlike speculative producers, Ortusol has already established pre-secured commercial agreements, ensuring predictable demand for its output:

* Spain: Sale of hemp fiber in bulk (1,000 tons/year @ $400/t).
* United Kingdom: Supply of CBD biomass for oil extraction (1,000 tons/year @ $3,500/t).
* Australia: Export of cannabis flowers, trim, and API ($2.50 - $3.50/g).
* Germany: Distribution of finished cannabis-based products ($2.50 - $3.50/g).

With Europe as the priority export market, Ortusol leverages favorable regulatory frameworks and a growing demand for medical cannabis, positioning itself as a reliable, scalable, and compliant supplier.

**Financially responsible expansion**

Ortusol’s funding structure aligns with strategic growth, ensuring sustainability without overcommitment:

* $1.7M – Required to execute the Cannabis rollout over two years (9 hectares).
* $5M – Enables full Hemp expansion, improving long-term revenue diversification.
* $500k Minimum Viable Threshold – If less than this amount is raised, funds will be returned to investors to maintain financial integrity.

Ortusol prioritizes real-world execution over excessive tech integration, ensuring that resources are directed toward actual production and revenue generation rather than investor-facing tech platforms that do not add operational value.

**Strategic commitment to efficiency and market growth**

Ortusol remains committed to realistic growth, ensuring that each phase of expansion aligns with financial viability and market demand. This approach minimizes risks, maximizes efficiency, and upholds its core mission of combining sustainable agriculture with responsible investor returns.
